Nothing special. Run of the mill food. Tired decor and service
Peking Duck was a specticle, really enjoyed how the waitress carved the duck by the table. Restaurant is great for large groups and many sharing options. The decor is a little outdated though. Duck was very nicely prepared, everything was tasty and service was very attentive.
I love their peking duck. Slightly more expensive than other restaurants but quality and quantity are worth it!
Their Peking duck is some of the best in the city :)
Food was great but service just so so...
Food tastes decent, it's not overly salty which is good. They have great week day lunch specials, at app. $7 for a soup spring roll and main (rice + veggie + meat). But restaurant is quite large, usually not overly full and service is slow -- still a good option to visit
Their Beijing duck is amazing! I strongly recommend ordering a Beijing duck if you're visitng here! Ordered some rice and other menus too, but one of them came with a hair, so I told about it to the waiter, and they appologized and remade it, which was fine.
Peking duck was flavourful but a bit oily. The lettuce wrap with duck was a bit bland but portion was huge. There is also a small dim sum menu as well.
The worst Chinese restaurant I've eaten in. I would give it no star if I can. The Peking duck was a strange orange colour and very dry. The dish were cooked different than what we normally get. But it didn't taste that good. The best dish was the sweet tofu pudding like dessert!
Roasted duck is good and tasty, but the food is really slow. Waited 20 minutes from first to second dish, then waited other 20 minutes for the third one...
This place has been around forever, a little run down, but the food is great. We love having lunch here and always ordered spicy beef noodles and beef pancake/wrap. At night we like peking duck
Good food and good price. The Peking duck is excellent. To find a parking spot in the noon time is not easy.
I went to this restaurant solely because of Peking duck. The duck was amazing and the guy who carved it did a very good job. Every piece had right amount of fat and fatty crispy skin that's in the middle of the plate just melted in my mouth. Tho I didn't eat much of the other dishes, it was common dishes you can find in other restos, nothing special but not bad either.
Reminds me of a place where it used to have its glory days, but those are slowly fading away. This place still has the renovations probably originating from the 80's/90's and hasn't changed since. The food is nostalgic and more "white" influenced than authentic Asian, but they do try to cater to both clientele's.Definitely need to order the Peking duck, it's pretty good but the best part is they give you 4x baskets of skins totalling around 20x pcs, which is far more than 90% of restaurants, but considering the duck alone is $45 you're kinda paying for it.I give them 6.5/10!
Been 17 years since the last visit.Quite surprise how nice it is. Reasonably priced. Food are fresh. Only suggestion... really need to update the environment. But. Would return again. Duck is nice, fish is fresh. Satisfied.
The duck is great. Skin is nice and crispy. The meat is moist.
food was very good and staff friendly. the place is crazy hard to find as you have to go down side street to get in.parking was alright as had several spots on upper level
The decor has been improved throughout the years, and it now has a magical garden appeal. Beautifully presented food and good portions. Highly recommend the seafood and lobster! Great choice for the whole family for Chinese food.
The service was not so good. The restaurant was empty, but the server wasn't paying attention to us. The installation is a little bit old. The taste of the food was good but the way it was placed wasn't.
I have tried many famous Peking duck resturants in China. 大董,全聚德,四季民福... The Peking duck here is not the crispiest, but the taste is the best.
My go-to place for Peking duck, generous portion for very reasonable price. Meat is flavourful and skin is crispy. They serve the wraps in a set of four bamboo steamers to keep it warm for longer, and the wrap is paper thin. Highly recommended if you are craving roasted duck.
Not Bad if you want some peking duck, worth a visitPaid around 40$ for a whole duck which is the standard price. We got lots of slices from the duck to make our little pancake rolls, and they cut the rest of the duck (bones etc.. and gave us which we took home)I Love Pecking Duck with the pancakes, onions, sauce etc... Our craving was satisfied.Service wasnt bad, restaurant wasnt too busy because we came early around 5 pm.Venue: Very cute cozy Asian restaurant. Lots of decorations. Looks better than many I've seen
Went for my birthday. The duck is excellent. Very good food for reasonable prices. And the portions are very big. The decor is a bit dated, but the food is excellent
Amazing food with fair prices
I've lived in the area for over 30 years and always thought this was a hole in the wall. Just went here and food is surprisingly good despite no other stores and restaurants nearby. Would definitely prefer Peking Man over some other chinese restaurants in the area (or in more populated malls)
Slow downhill decline in quality. Everytime I go the service and food just gets worse. No flavor, just overly oily and sailty.
Delicious food at affordable prices = win. We ordered the 6 people Peking duck dinner with an additional order of fried Yimin. The interior was nothing out of ordinary and at parts, poorly decorated and maintained but it was the food that attracts people to the restaurant.
food is ok and the service is good.
This spot sure knows how to treat their customers. Always with a super friendly approach. The food is fairly priced, always delicious and neat.
Best place in town for Peking Duck + Hot & Sour soup.Fresh, Filling, Crunchy, Reasonable price, Delicious food.Professional courteous staff service. The soup was so good we finished it before we were able to get a picture of it.Deliciously crispy duck hand cut right in front of you.
Good food. Reasonably priced. Parking available. But service is super slow.
This place is great, amazing, fantastic and I really like it!!! 365 days of Christmas lights, hanging silk plants and wood is infectious!! It’s old school decor. Don’t be critical on the looks! In fact soak it in, it grows on you as you giggle! I know you will have a great time here. The food is Chinese- Canadian. Not authentic Chinese, but the stuff Canadians that don’t like chicken feet, nao ma guy, or smelly Tofu would love. I’m kidding, no one likes smelly tofu!!!!OMG! That stinks!! Don’t get me started!!!I digress, Peking Man Restaurant deserves to be 100% full Mondays and Tuesdays!!!BECAUSE...Mondays and Tuesdays is ALL U CAN EAT for $14.99!!!!Get over here now!!!Thanks for reading!!
We waited 1 hour for our 3 lunch dishes. The waitress said many sorries, however the season was “Sorry, there were too many to-go orders....” This is just unacceptable. We hope the owner will see this.
Flavours of all the dishes were very well balanced. Traditional Chinese decor, great family dinner setting. Very popular venue for Peking Duck which was so good I missed taking a photo.
This restaurant had been closed down permanently. I have just come by here... what a nice place it was to have pecking ducks. Hope they will open this restaurant at other location.
While working in the medical buildings, visited Peking Man several times, always ordering from the lunch menu. The price is good for what you get. Starts with a soup; sweet and sour or chicken rice (like congee), spring roll and main (there's about 8 to choose from). The server was friendly and the food came quickly and was filling enough. Not many places around offer a 3 course meal like this.
Decor is old, tables could be cleaner. Roast duck was pretty good, other dishes not as good. Pricing is very reasonable. Still, probably wouldn't come back.
It was a great restaurant. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have my name in the reservation but luckily there were some empty tables. I was surprised that they had a menu in Korean. It helped me a lot. I hoped that the servers understood English better as they couldn't explain well about their set menu only in Chinese. Overall, I was very satisfied that their Peking duck had just the same taste I had in China. Other dishes were also very good.
Amazing food. Great staff. Looking to go back in the near future.
Best duck! I love coming here for fancy duck tacos. The food is good, some dishes are better than others. Great place for large groups and it’s not very busy.
Beijing duck is delicious. The taste is traditional peiking style and not HK style. Yummy.
Very good peking duck. Hot pot of fish and beef is very good. Flavorful not simply a hot pepper bomb. Deserts made fresh and very nice! Been coming here for more than 12 years
I’m giving this place 4 stars just because I personally care mostly about the quality of the food.. in particular the Peking duck here. I ONLY come to this place for Peking duck, the other dishes I’ve had were never really good. I’d say this restaurant is definitely one of the better places for Peking duck around Toronto. It comes out hot and the skin is super crispy. It could use a little bit more flavouring on the skin, but besides that they execute it well every time I’ve been. The most recent time I went here the women didn’t carve the duck well and I felt like I was shafted on pieces. If you know Peking duck, you can see for yourself in the photos. The service is whatever.
My first time eating Peking duck. It was a nice experience eating different kind of Chinese food that I usually eat. My friends explained to me the ritual cutting the duck and how they do different dishes with the meal. All the food and service were correct. The only thing that I did not like were the desserts; I don't like sweets. One advice for the restaurant manager, please when you serve oranges, give good one because all the amazing previous food was less impressive because of the poor oranges you gave us.
One of Toronto's hidden gems. Great food, exceptional value.
Is the best food of Peking Duck I really love and is the best place for dinner !! 5/5 stars!😎😱💜💙⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The quality of food could of been better. The way it was prepared was different from the previous experiences with other chinese restaurants
Best pecking duck I've had in the city. They carve up the duck next to your table. Very cool experience with super tasty duck. The duck skin is perfectly crunchy.
